Overview

If information on your clients, customers, suppliers, budget strategies, pricing and trade secrets should be kept confidential then it is important to only allow access to your premises those visitors who are prepared to commit to an Undertaking to keep secret and confidential such information as they may hear or see whilst on your premises.

Having a signed Visitor's Confidentiality Undertaking is a prudent step towards protecting your confidential information and trade secrets.

It is also very important to have a Visitors Book which is signed by every visitor. The Visitors Book should contain the name of the visitor, the date and time of the visit, the purpose of the visit and the contact person in your business with whom the visitor is meeting.

At the front of the Visitors Book or displayed in a prominent position should be the Visitors Confidentiality Undertaking.

By having a Visitors Book and having a Visitor's Confidentiality Undertaking it should be easier to prove any misuse of confidential information.

Please Note: This is a document which should be displayed in your Reception area and/or be signed by each visitor to your premises.
